The delectable This is Rubbish embark on their Fifth “Feast” tour date, bringing delicious leftovers, food waste and related food sustainability issues to Llanidloes Carnival, a community event that has been celebrating the people of Llanidloes for over 70 years.
Feasting at Llanidloes carnival, This is Rubbish will participate in the carnival procession handing out delicious fruit that otherwise would’ve been wasted. During the procession fruit will flow from the wonkily wonderful fruit bowl and in the afternoon This is Rubbish will host a mighty fruit waste salad toss at the carnival football field site. Delicious treats will be collectively mixed by member of the public in a tarpaulin, allowing large volumes of free fruit salad to be served to all who wish to taste the delights of edible excess.
Come along to Llanidloes carnival on the 9th of July to join our rubbish fruit bowl procession, play with your food, rescue an unloved wonky fruit and taste good food that would otherwise be wasted. All activities and food are free.
